Hearthline is editorially independent. When you buy through links on this page we may earn a commission, which funds our testing. It never changes what we recommend or how we score. How we make money.

We measured both sets in the same living room at three times of day, with curtains open and closed.

Measure your room first

Note where windows sit relative to the screen and how much light you can control. That single factor decides this more than any spec.

Burn-in, realistically

Modern OLED panels with pixel-shifting handle mixed content well. Static broadcast logos for eight hours a day remain a genuine risk.

The verdict

In a room you can darken, OLED is still the better picture — contrast is the single biggest driver of perceived quality. In a bright, south-facing room with windows opposite the screen, Mini LED's brightness and anti-glare coating will look better every afternoon.
